The C/PAD IMX technology that we jointly developed with Hyundai Motors won the SPE Innovation Award in the process division. SPE Innovation Award is sponsored by the Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE) and is the most authoritative award related to the technologies in automobile plastics, celebrating its 45th anniversary this year. One technology for each of the 10 divisions is selected every year for the most outstanding award granted jointly to the automobile OEM and cooperative companies.

C/PAD IMX is a technology that realizes forming of the C/PAD and airbag suit as well as wrapping in a single process, which is currently being mass produced for the strategic European model, i20(GB). This technology, which reduces the weight and improves the sensitive quality, acquired the most outstanding award by competing with 11 other technologies submitted by companies such as GM, Ford and Toyota in the Process Division.
