Seoyon E-Hwa's development of the 'Natural Fiber Insert Injection Door Trim' has earned the prestigious Minister of Industry Award at the 2023 Korea Tech Show. Utilizing natural materials such as Kenaf, this technology reduces component weight by approximately 40%. Seoyon E-Hwa has been recognized for innovatively reducing the manufacturing process of natural fiber door trims from four stages to just one, winning this award. The original four stages included ① natural fiber forming, ② outer trimming of natural fiber, ③ bracket injection, and ④ bracket bonding. Separately, molding these stages led to reduced yield due to process defects and increased manufacturing and labor costs. Seoyon E-Hwa addressed these issues by integrating all four stages within a single mold. The company mass-produces door trims for vehicles such as Hyundai Genesis G80, Genesis G90, Kia K8, and K9.

Typically, automotive interior materials, including car parts, incorporate inorganic substances like glass fibers, whiskers, talc, and calcium carbonate as reinforcing fillers. However, these inorganic materials pose environmental pollution during manufacturing, and parts made using them are difficult to recycle and have poor workability and cost-effectiveness. Conventionally, these inorganic materials are added as fillers to prevent elasticity reduction. However, high-density inorganic reinforcing agents with a specific gravity of 2.5 to 4.0 increase the weight of automotive molded products, consequently increasing the overall weight of vehicles. To address this weight issue, natural fibers meeting the specifications for automotive interiors have been applied to achieve lightweight.

Reducing carbon emissions in compliance with global greenhouse gas reduction policies is a mandatory requirement for global finished vehicle OEMs, and the foremost step in achieving this is the lightweight of vehicles. This technology and product involve producing interior materials using natural fibers aimed at lightweight, including the molding device and method and the product itself. As a primary supplier for global finished vehicle OEMs, Seoyon E-Hwa is proactively developing new technologies and products, focusing on developing lightweight interior parts to meet the demands of its clients and global issues on carbon emission reduction.
